Situation
FysioAgent needed fast answers to three critical questions before investing in full product development: Can AI handle Dutch physiotherapy terminology? Will it deliver real value to clinicians? Can it run at economically viable costs?
Challenge
The core uncertainty was whether existing AI capabilities were mature enough to meet the demands of real-world physiotherapy practice. The system needed to reliably handle Dutch clinical language, deliver summaries that clinicians actually trust, and do so within strict cost constraints. With limited budget, every investment needed to prove its value first. The solution also needed GDPR-compliant security from day one to enable testing with real patient data, and had to handle real-world conditions like network interruptions during live consultations.
Solution
We built a working web-based AI consultation assistant with a small team. Physiotherapists can record consultations, and the system automatically transcribes and generates summaries in the required format. The platform handles real-world conditions like network interruptions and processes patient data securely without sending it to third parties, meeting GDPR requirements from day one.
