A major player in the wellness sector in The Netherlands with >100M€ in revenue asked us to support them in streamlining their (internal) customer service. Their customer data could only be accessed via a secured third-party web-portal. This meant a human in the loop was required for most customer support questions. They wanted to provide their customers with a means for self-service.
Extracting information from a website has been possible for a long time by using a technique called 'web scraping'. The downside of this technique is that it breaks easily when (invisible) changes are made to the website. To build a robust system, we applied automation to detect when the data extraction fails. An AI is used to identify and fix the issue within a matter of seconds.
With our AI generated integration layer we have provided access to the customer data stored in the secured third-party web-portal. We have removed all bottlenecks in providing self-service for customers. This opens the door for >10x reduction in cost for providing customer support.
